Ryan Abreu | RMT
Ryan Abreu has been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2013. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario and completed his Massage Therapy program at Sutherland Chan School & Teaching Clinic in 2012. He practiced in Ontario for 2 years before moving his practice to B.C.
He has many years of sports therapy experience including treating the BC Lions Football team since 2017. He has also instructed the sports outreach program for WCCMT students at UBC and Douglas College.
Ryan believes in the importance of a treatment plan based on assessment for the fastest recovery, injury prevention, and overall mental and physical health.

David Gifford | RMT
Dave Gifford graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2002. Since then, he’s always remained active within the massage therapy profession. Over his years of practice, he has honed his treatment focus on the cases and issues that are most prevalent in our community.
Dave’s areas of expertise are Athletic/Sports Massage, Pre and Post-Natal Massage, Workplace Stress, Headaches, Ergonomic Issues and ICBC Claimants.
Dave’s approach has always been to have the client’s best interest in mind. His years of experience providing treatment have taught him which techniques are appropriate for each client’s needs, resulting in effective health care with less post-treatment pain.
Techniques Dave may use during treatment include (but not limited to) are Active Release Therapy, Myofascial Release, Sports Petrissage, Trigger Point Therapy, Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy and Joint Mobilizations.

Nyk is a Massage Therapist excited to help individuals live happy, active lifestyles. April Clarke | RMT
April was a graduate from VCMT in the spring of 2018 and is very enthusiastic about working with Legacies. She made the leap into the RMT world after being a body worker for 8 years and finding relief in massage therapy for previous injuries.
April has always had a passion for helping people and understands that no two patients are alike. She believes that mental and physical well-being are very much connected and relaxation is an integral part to massage. She adapts all of her treatments to meet every patient’s unique needs to help them meet their goals and enjoys problem solving with other practitioners to help patients get better, faster.
Utilizing various techniques such as incorporating breath, Swedish, myofascial, trigger point release, neuromuscular therapy, dynamic release and stretching.
She has treated people for conditions such as Thoracic Outlet syndrome, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel, pregnancy, and headaches to name a few.
When she is not helping patients you can find April with her head in a book (she loves to learn), practicing hatha yoga, travelling, and going to live events, or playing with her niece and nephew.

Roxanne Karadimas | RMT
Roxanne graduated from the highly respected school, West Coast College of Massage Therapy, in 2015. She carries a passion to support her patient’s recovery process from the most vulnerable stages to one of full health. That passion led her to attain a full certification of the Vodder Method of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT) and then to challenge the LANA exam. In addition to MLD, she incorporates a variety of gentle, non-aggressive techniques as appropriate in the healing stages and management of the various conditions being treated.
Some of the many conditions Roxanne works with include swelling, bloating, cancer and post-cancer recovery, autoimmune disorders, slow digestion, PCOS, Pre & post-cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, Chronic sinusitis, lipedema, lymphedema, venous insufficiency, varicose veins, concussion +post-concussion syndrome, postnatal care and more.
Roxanne is also a certified garment fitter aiding in the maintenance of fluid reduction in chronic swelling conditions.

Extended Health Coverage
Legacies Health Centre offers direct billing to most Extended Health plans to the majority of our services. Some services (like Clinical Counselling), do not offer direct billing. In such instances, Legacies provides a medical receipt to be used on request for reimbursement. See an updated list of providers by clicking the ‘Learn More’ button below.
ICBC Insurance Claims
Legacies Practitioners, including Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Kinesiologists, all have extensive experience in administering ICBC treatments. We are here to help! Click the ‘learn more’ button for additional details.
WorkSafeBC Claims
Workplace injuries are usually due to trauma or overuse. If you have been injured as a result of a workplace activity, our team of experts at Legacies can perform a comprehensive assessment and develop a treatment plan to reduce your symptoms and rehabilitate your injury.
If your claim is approved by WSBC, your initial assessment is 100% covered with a WorkSafeBC Claim number. Once your claim has been accepted by WorkSafeBC, the full treatment cost of your appointments will be funded (within the approved time parameters). When you are ready, your physiotherapist will work with you, your employer, physician, and WorkSafeBC Case Manager to develop a safe and appropriate return to work plan. If your claim has been denied or is disallowed, the expenses will need to be covered by the Patient
