Healthy Eggnog Recipe
December 22nd, 2020
A delicious holiday drink! Unfortunately very high in calories and fat….unless you change up the recipe a bit!
Here’s a lower sugar alternative you can try to add some sweetness to your holiday toast for the new year. This is an alcohol-free recipe, but feel free to add alcohol of your choice to make it your own!
Ingredients
- – 2 cups milk of your choice – if using plant based milk, use a lower sugar almond milk (unsweetened)
- – ⅓ cup raw organic honey – if you want to make it very low sugar, use stevia instead
- – 3 egg whites
- – 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- – ½ tsp cinnamon
- – ½ tsp nutmeg
- – Pinch of ground ginger and/or cloves (optional)
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients together
- Pour everything into a pot and simmer for 15 min but do not let it boil.
- Then…enjoy!
