Healthy Eggnog Recipe

A delicious holiday drink! Unfortunately very high in calories and fat….unless you change up the recipe a bit!

Here’s a lower sugar alternative you can try to add some sweetness to your holiday toast for the new year. This is an alcohol-free recipe, but feel free to add alcohol of your choice to make it your own!

Ingredients

  • – 2 cups milk of your choice – if using plant based milk, use a lower sugar almond milk (unsweetened)
  • – ⅓ cup raw organic honey – if you want to make it very low sugar, use stevia instead
  • – 3 egg whites
  • – 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • – ½ tsp cinnamon
  • – ½ tsp nutmeg
  • – Pinch of ground ginger and/or cloves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients together
  2. Pour everything into a pot and simmer for 15 min but do not let it boil.
  3. Then…enjoy!
