How Active Rehabilitation Can Help Accelerate Your Recovery
How You Can Accelerate Your Recovery with an Active Rehabilitation Program
Are you recovering from an injury or surgery and eager to return to your active lifestyle? If so, active rehabilitation may be the key to a quicker and more effective recovery. At Legacies Health Centre, we understand how important it is to have customized rehabilitation programs to help you regain your strength, mobility, and function. Let’s explore how active rehabilitation can support your recovery journey and get you back on track.
When to Start Active Rehabilitation
A common question we receive is, “When is it safe to start active rehabilitation?” The answer to this question will depend on the extent and severity of your injury or surgery. It is essential to wait until your healthcare provider gives you the go-ahead to begin rehabilitation exercises. Starting too early could worsen your condition, while delaying rehabilitation may slow down your progress.
Once you have been cleared to begin, our team of experienced kinesiologists at Legacies Health Centre will work with you to create a personalized active rehabilitation program that is tailored to meet your unique needs and goals.
Benefits of Active Rehabilitation for Faster Recovery
Active rehabilitation provides numerous advantages to people who are recuperating from an injury or surgery.
Improved Strength and Flexibility
Active rehabilitation exercises target specific muscle groups and joints, helping to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion. This enhanced physical conditioning accelerates recovery and reduces the risk of future injuries.
Pain Management
Structured and supervised exercises can reduce pain and discomfort caused by injury or surgery. Our kinesiologists will provide guidance on proper techniques and modifications to ensure a safe and effective workout routine.
Enhanced Functional Ability
Our rehabilitation programs aim to restore functional movements relevant to your daily activities and recreational pursuits, whether you’re an athlete or simply looking to resume your regular routine.
Faster Return to Activity
If you follow a well-structured active rehabilitation program, you can return to your desired level of activity sooner than you might expect. Our aim is to assist you at every stage of the process, from the initial assessment to the post-rehabilitation follow-up, to ensure a seamless transition back to your active lifestyle.
