Chiropractic is a primary-contact health care profession in BC that focuses on the neuro-musculoskeletal systems of the body, and licensed by the BC College of Chiropractors. At Legacies Health Centre, our Doctors of Chiropractic are highly trained and experienced, and have been the official choice for chiropractic treatments of many top performers and teams, such as Guns ‘n Roses and the CFL BC Lions.
Keeping current with latest methods, our Chiropractors use a variety of techniques to give you the best chiropractic treatments for many types of pain and joint-related problems. Commonly treated conditions include:
- Neck and back pain
- Lower back pain
- Sports injuries
We always strive to provide the best economic solutions by direct billing insurance providers such as RCMP, MSP, WCB, and even RCMP. Have you been in a car accident? Legacies Health Centre is an approved service provider by ICBC, and we can direct bill 100% of your visit, so you pay nothing!
If you are new to chiropractic and have any hesitations, this is the place to come to. Our chiropractors listen to your concerns, communicate their rationale for a chiropractic treatment, and use simple non-aggressive methods. That’s why Legacies Health Centre has won the Surrey Now Reader’s Choice Award for “Best Chiropractic”.
What to expect:
Before seeing the Chiropractor, you will be asked to complete a “new patient form” to gather initial information about your complaint and prior health history. When you meet the doctor, they will complete the medical history with you and then ask questions about your current complaint. This is a critical step in determining a diagnosis.
A physical assessment of your posture, movement, muscle tone, and neurological signs and symptoms will be conducted. Please bring along any diagnostic test results you may have had (x-rays, MRI, CT scan, etc.). Once a diagnosis has been determined, the Chiropractor will suggest a treatment plan to get you better in the fastest way possible. At the Legacies Health Centre, our Chiropractors work as a team, and may suggest massage, kinesiology, cold laser, or even acupuncture to help you achieve best results.
The treatment itself is individualized and very specific to your diagnosis and your health history. Using manual (hands-on) techniques, the chiropractor will manipulate soft-tissue and joints to influence healing and to return your body to a state of pain-free function. These techniques are non-invasive, and most often pain-free. The Chiropractor will re-assess the results from the treatment, and you will be given home-care methods to optimize results, which often include heat/cold techniques and specific exercises.
